• Morning- Stretch in the morning as soon as you wake up (5-10 minutes)
  • Morning – Drink HOT caffeine in the morning (45 minutes of waking up)
  • Schedule bowel habits soon after a meal

  • Drink at least 8, eight-ounce glasses of ANY fluids per day
  • Dietary fiber intake- Goal: 20 to 35 grams/day of dietary fiber
  • P’s: Prune, Pears, Pineapples
  • Metamucil, Citrucel, or Fibercon
  • Raw bran with cereal
  • Activia yogurt
  • Align ® probiotics
  • Teas containing ginger, peppermint, fennel and chamomile. Can relieve nausea and upset stomach

Any osmotic agent can be used

  • Miralax
  • Lactulose
  • PEG
  • Sorbitol

If not help, add stimulant laxative

Add only if osmotic laxative NOT helping 

Use every other day to every third day as needed
